Steam Sales are coming!
It’s reported that the Autumn sales start tomorrow and last until the 27th. The CEO of Artery Studios revealed that Valve contacted him about putting one of his games on sale.
For the Winter sales, they begin on December 20th and end on January 4th. Get your wallets ready and try not to go broke.
Pictured above is the Steam for Linux client. I’m currently installing Amnesia: The Dark Descent and will be testing it once it has finished. I’m testing the client on Linux Mint 13 (Maya) and it is working without issue, so far. First image is the main client, the bottom image is Steams “Big Picture”. Very, very exciting stuff. And I can guarantee once all my favorites like Killing Floor get ported over, I won’t be using Windows very much ever again.
Steam for Linux limited beta has arrived!
The Valve Linux team is proud to announce the launch of a limited access beta for its new Steam for Linux client.
The Steam for Linux Beta client supports the free-to-play game Team Fortress 2. Approximately two dozen additional Steam titles are now also available for play on Ubuntu. Additionally, the Steam for Linux Beta client includes Big Picture, the mode of Steam designed for use with a TV and controller, also currently in beta.
