Galactus to be Playable in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Capcom’s Seth Killian has confirmed that the final boss of Marvel vs Capcom 3, Galactus, will be playable in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. He won’t be a normal playable character though.

Instead, the super-villain will be getting his own special game mode. No details were revealed with this announcement.

The World Eater Goes Hungry - GIF by Juliankeller

After the initial ending to Marvel Ultimate Alliance there is a small scene in which Galactus would appear to be setting earth as his next target for consumption. Galactus and Taskmaster in MvC 3?

Apparently, there is an official comic book tie-in to go with Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, which is to be illustrated by Kevin Sharpe.

Sharpe uploaded some previews of the comic on his portfolio. Two characters featured in these previews were not even confirmed for Marvel vs Capcom 3 - Marvel’s Galactus and Taskmaster. Galactus was originally hinted to be the final boss via Twitter (that account is now deleted).

The images have been removed from Sharpe’s deviantART page, but they’re still out there. Here’s the Galactus one.
