Turn 10 Studios Details Limited Collector’s Edition of Forza Motorsport 4
Turn 10 Studios has unveiled the details to the Limited Collector’s Edition of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 (which is expected to launch October 11 on the Xbox 360).
Starting today, anyone who pre-orders/purchases the Limited Collector’s Edition of Forza 4, will get an additional 25 cars from exclusive car packs and bonus car offers on day one. Also, they will be among the first to try out the 2012 BMW M5, which was unveiled at the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race in Germany.
The M5 will be featured on the cover of Forza Motorsport 4’s Limited Collector’s Edition (pictured above) and will be part of the “BMW M5 Fan Pack,” which will be available starting at launch to all Forza 4 owners who download it from Xbox Live Marketplace. Also, with the M5, players will also be able to experience “Autovista Mode” where Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear takes fans on a virtual tour of the world’s most sought-after cars. In addition to all this, an exclusive BMW theme will also be available to download in the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The Limited Collector’s Edition will be bundled in a polished Steelbook DVD case. In addition to the game, it will include the following content:
- The VIP Car Pack: 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, 2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge, 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, 2010 Noble M600, and the 2011 RUF Rt 12 R.
- The Limited Quantity “Launch Bonus” Car Pack: 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, 2011 Koenigsegg Agera, 1997 Lexus SC300, 2011 RUF RGT-8, and the 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport.
- A 10-car add-on pack of American muscle cars (which will also be available for purchase at launch via the Xbox Live Marketplace).
- VIP Membership status within the Forza community, which includes special recognition in community features, leaderboards, ForzaMotorsport.net, and more.
- A book titled ” Cars of Forza Motorsport 4 Presented by Top Gear,” written by the Top Gear team. It’s a 96-page book that describes in-game cars from the Autovista experience and features imagery from the game and the Top Gear photo library.
- A vinyl sticker set featuring the logos of Forza Motorsport 4, Top Gear, and Turn 10.
And finally, BMW and Turn 10 have announced the BMW Design Challenge, which was inspired by the BMW Art Car program which was first introduced back in 1975. This program has featured artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, and Jeff Koons. This design challenge will combine the worlds of art and motorsports and will invite artists to paint original pieces on a digital version of the 2010 BMW M6 Coupe. Turn 10 and BMW will be selecting a winner and will be bringing it to life in-game and it will accompany four other designed cars from the BMW M stable:
- 2008 BMW M3 E92
- 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe
- 1981 BMW M1
- 2012 BMW M5
