Confirming a rumor from last month, Famitsu has leaked that Lightning will have her own DLC where you battle her in her FFXIII outfit. When you beat her, she will be available to add to your party.
Square Enix is also interested in continuing the Final Fantasy XIII-2 storyline with scenarios for Sazh, Dajh (his son), and Chocolina (the time-traveling merchant). The format for these side-stories has not been decided. Two options mentioned in the interview are more DLC episodes and novels.
Don’t Expect Final Fantasy Versus XIII By 2011
If you do, you’re going to be bitterly disappointed and that bitterness is going to stay in your mouth quite possibly until 2012 as Square Enix just “cant commit” to 2011 at this point.

There’s been barely any news on it with maybe a couple of scans here and there, however Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that it will be at the Tokyo Game Show this year.
