First Prints Of Shin Megami Tensei IV Will Be Limited Editions
The first printing of SMTIV has recently been announced to include some special goodies that will be unavailable for those who do not pre-order (or just get really lucky).

Exclusive to the first printing, Shin Megami Tensei IV will be a Limited Edition Box Set. In addition to the game, customers will receive a 176-page Strategy & Design Book that includes the official starter strategy guide and artwork ranging from concept art to in-game pieces to never-used designs from the new Shin Megami Tensei series character designer, Masayuki Doi. They will also receive the Shin Megami Tensei Music Collection CD that offers a collection of tracks specially selected from across the 20-plus-year history of the SMT series. All this will be housed inside a deluxe-sized Collectible Slipcase featuring key art designed by Masayuki Doi.

If you’re an avid JRPG collector, you’ve surely noticed the distinct lack of availability for classic ATLUS PS2 RPGs. Well, ATLUS are reprinting both Devil Summoner games for the PS2 and they retail for $29.99 apiece. The second game will not include the limited edition Jack Frost Raidou plushie like originally, though!

Former ATLUS USA President Lands Job At XSEED
Shinichi Suzuki left ATLUS this year after spending 8 years with ATLUS USA, expanding the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series as well as introducing the American market to games such as 3D Dot Game Heroes and Demon’s Souls. Now, he’s focused his effort with his new CFO position at XSEED Games.

“I have always respected Xseed Games, so this was an opportunity I could not pass up,” Suzuki said in a statement. “This is an exciting time for the industry and our company, and I look forward to navigating a course of success through the exciting changes in store as we advance Xseed’s publishing efforts by bringing even more highly anticipated titles to market across multiple platforms.”

XSEED and Suzuki’s next major title coming out is Ragnarok Odyssey for the PS Vita later this year.
